PERFORMANCES The Abrons is proud to present the three-concert series RiverProject by composer Eve Beglarian. Join us for three distinct evenings of Beglarian's innovative and compassionate music, as she and her co-performers embody the many moods of the Mississippi — at turns brazen, calm, destructive, life-affirming, but always beautiful and mesmerizing. |
PERFORMANCES Blending live performance and film, The Mystery Of Claywoman (January 21-February 5) is the story of Claywoman, a 500-million-year-old enigma who, legend has it, can cure anyone of their deepest pain. She, along with her canine musical traveling companion "Craig," travels the universe searching for souls to heal and planets to save. |
EXHIBITIONS The Abrons Arts Center will host open studios for the five 2011-2012 AIRspace artists-in-residence — Amy Feldman, Brie Ruais, Carolyn Salas, Ellie Krakow, and Julie Ann Nagle — as well as the 2011-2012 AIRspace curator-in-residence, David Everitt Howe. Visual Arts Director Jonathan Durham will also lead an informational session on how to apply to the 2012-2013 AIRspace residency. |
